Spring brings beautiful flowers and the sunshine we all have been waiting for all winter. Many parents have already met with your school at parent information night.  As you know, it is the State law in Illinois that all children entering into kindergarten receive a full comprehensive eye examination. It is our pleasure to offer services for your youngest family members and you can rest assured in the care you receive from Dr. Mintchell. She has many years of experience in taking care of the needs of these young patients, as our office provides eye care services as young as infants.

During these examinations, their full visual function will be assessed. Statistically 1 in 10 children will be diagnosed with a visual related problem. These examinations are very important in getting your child prepared for the challenges they will face at school. It is important to see a provider who has experience in the detection of ocular conditions in children, as their needs and responsiveness are different than adults.
